The Cultural Services of the French Embassy in partnership with FACE Foundation is delighted to announce the 2017-2018 Grantees of the FACE Contemporary Theater program.

This year, a total of $110,200 in grants was allocated to seven organizations presenting French artists in the United States, and to one organization developing a French-American collaboration in France. Each project explores aesthetic boundaries and intercultural dialogue, reflecting the richness and the diversity of contemporary French creation.

Highlights of the 2017 selection include companies and artists such as Compagnie XY, Omar Abusaada, Thierry Thieû Niang, Elise Vigier (Théâtre des Lucioles) with Saul Williams, and the U.S. tours of Dorothée Munyaneza and Joël Pommerat.
