The Coachella Valley and its surreal desert landscape serves as medium to several artist as part of the Desert X project. This unique curated exhibition brings together several established and emerging artists into a single landscapes. Their projects will highlight several global and local issues of the day that function withing the framework of climate change, starry skies, tribal culture, immigration, tourism, gaming, and even go as far out as gold. 

Featured artists include Will Boone, Claudia Comte, and Amanda Lerma. Among them, Californian and Paris-raised artist Lita Albuquerque, whose breathtaking piece is on view at the Sunnylands Center & Garden. Her masterpiece takes the form of a performance entitled, hEARTH - a wonderful play on words that welcomes storytelling, movement, voice and sculpture and encourages the audience not only to watch, but also to listen.
