Jean-Jacques Abadie's Live in Marciac photographies will be exhibited at the Jazz Gallery from February 11, 2017 to April 27, 2017.

Jean-Jacques Abadie was born in 1959 in the south west of France where he still lives today. As he started a career in teaching, he explored the photographic scene while travelling. He took advantage of his rural environment to capture the cultural life surrounding him.

Since 1998, he held many local expositions and mainly focused his work on photographing friends, local actors, musicians, or festivals. He started practicing live music photography when he received an accreditation for the Marciac Jazz Festival ten years ago. The festival gathers renowned jazz players such as Ahmad Jamal, Chucho Valdes and Wynton Marsalis.
