From Generation to Generation: Inherited Memory and Contemporary Art is an exhibition co-curated by Contemporary Jewish Museum Assistant Curator Pierre-François Galpin and independent curator Lily Siegel that presents work by twenty-four artists who grapple with memories that are not their own, including French artist Christian Boltanski.

Through their work, the artists in this exhibition search, question, and reflect on the representation of thuths related to ancestral and collective memory, ultimately attempting to deal with their own past.

The exhbition will be on view from November 25, 2016 to April 2, 2017 at the Contemporary Jewish Museum.
