Marcelino Truong, Bae Suah, and Oddny Eir have written work that falls on the spectrum of memoir – some is more fictionalized, and some stays truer to their authors’ lives and experiences. Each author will be reading from and speaking about their work.

Marcelino Truong also participate to The Radical Act of Drawing a Life for PEN America Festival.


Marcelino Truong is the author of Such a Lovely Little War and Saigon Calling. The son of a Vietnamese diplomat, he spent the early years of the war in Saigon. He later attended London’s French Lycee, and then moved to Paris where he earned degrees in law at the Paris Institute of Political Studies and English literature at the Sorbonne.
